7th chords and random thoughts

Jesus... I was working my ass off this week. Trying to set up my home studio. anyway It's kind of ready. But the hardest thing was trying to do that while having to practice between 4-6 a day.
I'm in the most tough ansamble in my school and i'm trying to catch up with the INSANE players there.
No really it's rediculous. Last time the instructor(a monk inst. graduate) gave us charts in 7/8 with like 3 chords per bar and wanted me to play it up tempo first time i read it. I'M NOT THAT GOOD YOU ASSHOLE!
So i've been practicing a lot of shit. and I wanted to share with you a good way of practicing your hearing.
The whole idea is getting to know the intervals/chords well enough. It works the same way when you remember songs. you will never forget a song you know well right? . So that's what i do with 7th chords:

You take for example a Maj7 chord, and now you want to SING every combination of the chord notes there is.
I wrote here the order as I practice it. If you can sing the chord notes like this, that's it. you've got it and now you can move to the next chord. A dominant7 for example. Do this with all the seventh chords, including augmented and diminished chords and i promise you'll know them by heart.
1 3 5 7 - This one should be pretty easy. and now
1 3 7 5
1 5 3 7
1 5 7 3
1 7 3 5
1 7 5 3
3 1 5 7
3 1 7 5
3 5 1 7
3 5 7 1
3 7 1 5
3 7 5 1
5 1 3 7
5 1 7 3
5 3 1 7
5 3 7 1
5 7 1 3
5 7 3 1
7 1 3 5
7 1 5 3
7 3 1 5
7 3 5 1
7 5 1 3
7 5 3 1

If this kind of posts are any good for you guys i'd love to write more. I have plenty

You can hear a lot of mes playing

So i've been working about a little something with two guys, a singer and a producer.
done the keyboard work. Corny will not be a surprising word to say here but i feel like
the synth gives it a bit contrast. Anyway it's not my song so i don't care what you think.
just please don't say the keyboards suck, cause that's like all the parts except the singing and the beat

Listen through before you judge anything! But relly, as a way of life. As the old chineese phrase says: I don't remember any old chineese phrases.

So here it is

New and old stuff

Have you heard about this dude Gil Scott Heron? anyway he died like two years ago. He spent some time in jail and came up with some new shit after he got out. I've listened to some of his new material a while ago, but recently found out about his old stuff. From back in the 70's. Man this dude was the SHIT!
Also a propaganda man for black people, but leaving that aside, his stuff are hot.(especialy when being stoned)

If you're already fermiliar with this dude, I've put my hands lately on another tight piece of production.
This french band, Caravan Palace, does electro jazz(or whatever it is). I loved it, this song is perfect. And it's so hard waiting for those arpeggios on 2"18 every time.

A bit Background

At this point, I thaught i should stop writing to my desk and start posting. Sorry in advanced for the numerous mistakes i'm going to make in the English language. that's for me being an Israeli. We speak Hebrew and it's pretty much useless everywhere but here... ah well....

Anyways, after 3 years of intense military service, i can feel the kid in me is burried under layers of concreat. military concreat. I'm diggin it slowly from underneath through music.
OK, maybe we can start ealier. I'm 23 years old, I play piano since i was 6 years old. classical. In the age of 18 I had to inlist. Yeah, like everyone down here. I was a dumbass kid etc. so I left the music and went to be a paramedic, having to do field surgeries and being responsible of a full brigade, as the highest medical authority. Not bad yeah? only I hated it. I was waiting for the end of the day only to listen to chopin on my Ipod.
Anyway things happened on the way, I've finished my service and decided i'm gonna study jazz.
In the past year I've been practicing like crazy. Working 9 hours as a waiter, and practicing 4 hours.
Meanwhile I've had 2 bands playing keyboards. With my saved money i've baught a Moog and a Kurzweil pc3x.(pics) and as for now i'm working as a music teacher, studying jazz in a well known institute and playing in a band(hope it's any good) doing our stuff.

My incredible Moog

I'll keep posting here, updating about my career, or when i feel I have something good enough to post.
